All dogs love Theobald was a 12-part family series by ZDF that was broadcast in 1969 and 1970 in two seasons of 6 episodes each.

Although Theobald, in his own words, does not think much of regular work, he is always helpful and available when the need arises, be it for babysitting or walking the dog. However, it also occasionally happens that he takes a dog for a walk without the knowledge of the owner and then brings it back as a supposed "runaway" - against payment of a reward. Mrs. Kuschka as his maid is the good soul of the house.

The series was produced by Novafilm television production in Berlin. The 45-minute episodes ran every 14 days on Sundays at 8.15 p.m. The complete series is available on three DVDs. As a result, Struppi and the little brother , the young Eva Mattes plays one of her first television roles alongside her mother Margit Symo . In the episode The Wrong Father , Almut Eggert and Wolfgang Spier were seen together in front of the camera. Both were married from 1959 to 1965.
