Hans-Jürgen Janza

Hans-Jürgen Janza (born December 4, 1934 in Danzig ) is a German actor .

Life

Hans-Jürgen Janza received acting lessons in Hamburg and made his theater debut at the Städtische Bühnen Kleve. In 1972, together with Barbara Kleinitz and Gerd Baehr, he founded the KLECKS children's and youth theater on Hamburg's Großneumarkt , where he directed and also appeared as an actor. In 1976 he separated from the small private theater due to internal disputes.

Janza has worked in a variety of film and television productions since the 1960s. He played one of his first roles in 1964 at the side of Hansjörg Felmy as an unskilled worker suspected of murder in the crime film Nebelmörder , directed by Eugen York . After that he was repeatedly seen in the crime series Jürgen Roland's Steel Network and Dem Täter on the trail . Roland also cast Janza in his 1966 thriller 4 Keys . Janza was also seen as a guest actor in well-known series such as Percy Stuart , Hamburg Transit , Sonderdezernat K1 , St. Pauli-Landungsbrücken , Großstadtrevier or Die Männer vom K3 as well as in several Tatort episodes until the 2000s . Janza achieved great popularity with the series Doppelter Einsatz , in which from 1994 to 2007 he played the detective chief Peter Ahlers in 83 (out of a total of 86) episodes .

In addition, Hans-Jürgen Janza took part in several radio plays produced by the North German and West German Radio .

Janza, who often only played minor roles in his career, has also been running his own restaurant with his wife in Hamburg since 1980, called “Der Eims-Büttel”.
