content
After actual events, court hearings of murder trials were shown, each of which ended with blatant misjudgments and thus imprisonment for the accused. In some cases it was not until many years later that new evidence or testimony resulted in retrial , on the basis of which the accused were acquitted and rehabilitated.
Others
The six cases described were shown in eight parts, as two cases (the Mariotti trial and the Hetzel case ) were each broadcast in two episodes.
Author Stemmle already had with his films Affaire Blum (1948) and Do you confess, Dr. Corda! (1955) Judicial scandals and misjudgments from the past taken up. After the broadcast of right or wrong , Stemmle received numerous letters from prisoners asking him for help. However, these letters were often based on misunderstandings: Since Stemmle's first names were often only abbreviated to "RA", people took him for a lawyer.
All episodes were broadcast during prime time, but on different days of the week, between September 1970 and February 1971. They were feature-length films, the two parts of The Hetzel Case ran for 90 minutes each.
