Jan Aust

Jan Aust (* 1941 in Bremen ) is a German actor , theater director and director .

Life

Jan Aust comes from a theater family. He first studied theater studies , German and English before he trained as an actor. At the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg he not only worked on stage during the directorship of Gustaf Gründgens and Oscar Fritz Schuh , but also as an assistant director. In later years Aust worked under Ida Ehre as chief dramaturge at the Hamburger Kammerspiele until he took over the management of the Lüneburg Theater in 1991 and managed the house until 2010. Here he directed, stood on stage and wrote children's plays. During his era, the "Young Stage" was also created in Lüneburg. From 2000 to 2008, Aust was also director of the Jagsthausen Castle Festival , having previously held the deputy post and worked there as an actor and director.

With the beginning of the 1970s Aust was also seen occasionally on television. Here he had guest roles in series such as Hamburg Transit , Kümo Henriette or Der Landarzt . He was also seen repeatedly in the crime scene series .

Jan Aust has a daughter and two sons who are also active in the theater and media sector.
