OA Buck
Otto Alfred Buck (born June 6, 1914 in Altona , † after 1985) was a German actor .
Life
Otto Alfred Buck received his artistic training in Hamburg. He stayed there (in Hamburg-Blankenese ) even during the Second World War, when he officially began his acting career, but was mostly drafted for the entire duration of the war.
He made his debut in Berlin; his first post-war engagement can be traced back to Braunschweig in 1947 . In the 1950s Buck was committed to East Berlin's German Theater , then went on guest tours and in the 1960s also played in the West German provinces (including Heidelberg and Bonn ). When he returned to West Berlin, Buck performed at the Freie Volksbühne Berlin for a long time (1960s and 1970s) . In the 80s he was seen at the Renaissance theater directed by Heribert Sasse .
In 1955/56 OA Buck appeared in two ambitious movies, Helmut Käutner's World War II romance A Girl from Flanders and Alfred Braun 's biopic Stresemann , for the first time in front of the camera. It was not until ten years later that Buck began to participate regularly in television productions. Mostly the actor with the high forehead and the distinctive sideburns could be seen in small to medium-sized character roles.
Buck had two daughters (including the adopted daughter Renée).
