Werner Wieland

Werner Wieland (born October 18, 1910 in Leipzig , † June 9, 1984 in Potsdam ) was a German actor and radio play director .

Life

Wieland's acting career began on cabaret stages. During this time he took acting lessons from Detlef Sierck and Peter Stanchina . He later worked as a freelance actor. After the Second World War , he first played in Quedlinburg and then worked for the radio in Leipzig , often as a radio play director. From 1953 to 1955 he studied directing at the Potsdam Film and Television Academy .

Wieland was first seen on the screen in the role of Gustav Noske in The Song of the Sailors . From then on he was often present on the screen. He played his last role in 1983 in Zille und ick .
