Werner Veidt

Werner Veidt , actually Eugen Siegfried Veit , (born July 4, 1903 in Erfurt , † May 10, 1992 in Backnang ) was a German actor and author .

Life

After leaving school, he completed an acting training and was engaged first at the municipal theater in Bunzlau in Silesia and later in Stolpe in Pomerania. Although he was born in Erfurt, he grew up in Tamm and mastered the Swabian dialect there. After a season in Guben , he returned to the Ländle and went to Ulm , from where he was committed to Berlin and Stuttgart. He later lived in Ludwigsburg and Backnang for a long time .

He kicked u. a. in Stuttgart from 1963 for two decades together with his Swabian colleague Walter Schultheiß as the Swabian street sweeper duo "Karle and Gottlob".

The saying "I am the street sweeper Gottlob Friederich; I sweep for rich and poor, for high and low" became the trademark in the Südfunk radio broadcast from the Villa Berg "guests in the large broadcasting hall", which was broadcast live every Saturday by Süddeutscher Rundfunk .

From 1970 to 1976 he appeared regularly as the Swabian "Bruddler" in the television evening show of the Süddeutscher Rundfunk in Stuttgart.
