Elvis and the Commissioner was a crime series on ARD that was broadcast on Mondays at 8:15 p.m. in November and December 2007, each around 45 minutes long.
action
Hans Behringer is a commissioner at the Hamburg criminal police. Since his mother Rosa had to move to a retirement home due to her age, he has taken on the care of her dog Elvis, a Norwich Terrier , who also accompanies him in research and questioning about various criminal cases. Not enough that Rosa constantly interferes in her son's life, to make matters worse, Hans' wife Lilo has also separated from him and now lives with his boss Seibold, with whom Hans already has a tense relationship. The only consolation is Anja Nolte, the landlady of his local bar, who not only provides him with home-style cooking.
Others
This short-lived series, which was filmed in Hamburg between July and September 2007, was one of several "test balloons" with which ARD tried out various series formats at the time. Ultimately, the program managers decided to give preference to the series Murder with a View . Michael Baier wrote the scripts, Ulrich Stark (episodes 1 to 3) and Ulrich Zrenner (episodes 4 to 6) shared the direction. The individual episodes have been repeated several times over the years on various television channels.
