action
Ibiza mourns because Anne Coronado is leading a dear friend to her final resting place today. She died from a dose of adulterated drugs. Anne's husband Pepe Coronado runs a hotel on the Mediterranean island. But this is nowhere near his most profitable source of income. Coronado is a sinister fellow, he has his fingers in all sorts of dark machinations like drug trafficking. He also has close business ties with the local mafia clan. This is particularly uncomfortable for Pepe's wealthy English wife Anne, whose girlfriend died of all things because of the contaminated drugs from Pepe's hand. Because when Anne finds out, as expected, she is extremely bad at her husband and wants to separate from him. Since stubborn, self-determined or even divorced women are not provided for in the statutes of a patriarchal mafia extended family and Pepe is in the chalk after some bad deals with his dark business partners, the law of the clan requires Anne to be murdered. She knows too much how the godfather is, which amounts to a death sentence. In addition, Pepe hopes to come into possession of her inheritance after Anne's death. And so it happens.
Anne is electrocuted to make it look like a terrible accident. But at home her parents had taken out a high life insurance policy for Anne, and since the insurance company is reluctant to pay the same, the company from England sends two insurance agents to the island: the shrewd Philip Brown, a former chief investigator of Scotland Yard , and his friend Gordon Hamilton. Above all, the beefy Brown, type of bite-proof fox terrier with the disposition of a butcher's dog, proves to be a tough chunk who simply won't give up on his on-site investigations, especially since the Ibiza police have long been infiltrated by the mafia and have therefore stopped their own investigations . Soon, however, the police can no longer look the other way, and Anne's killer finally becomes a burden for the "honorable society". So the clan orders to kill Anne's killer, her own husband ...
