action

The series shows in closed episodes people who are on the Intercontinental Express for various reasons . 11 of the 13 episodes are about criminals on the run from the police.

Others

Contrary to the usual series practice, there were no continuous roles at Intercontinental Express , each episode showed new characters or different actors. Although only 13 episodes were produced, three scriptwriters and eleven directors were involved. The scripts were written by Fred Ignor, Christian Bock and Heinz Pauck , and directed by Claus Peter Witt and Peter Zadek , among others . Large parts of an express train were recreated in the studio of Studio Hamburg for the shooting.

Episode 12 was broadcast unscheduled on a Thursday for unknown reasons. Episodes 1 and 10 are the only two that don't tell a crime story.

Episode 1 can be seen in full length on YouTube .
