Ursula Diestel

Ursula Diestel (born July 15, 1920 in Berlin ; † February 18, 2015 there ) was a German actress .

Life

Diestel took private acting lessons from Leopold von Ledebur and made her debut in 1942 at the Prussian State Theater in Der Biberpelz . During the war she was mainly used in troop support. Immediately after the end of the war she performed at the Theater am Schiffbauerdamm and in 1946 moved to the Staatliche Schauspielbühnen Berlin .

From then on, Ursula Diestel belonged to the ensembles at the Schillertheater and the Schlossparktheater . She was Selma Knobbe in Die Ratten , Plörösenmieze in Der Hauptmann von Köpenick and Duchess von Olivares in Don Carlos . Her career in front of the camera began in 1949 in the DEFA film Die Buntkarierte . Since 1958 she was a frequently cast actress in television productions.
