Over at Lehmanns is an early evening series of the ARD, which was produced in two seasons of 13 episodes on behalf of Berliner Werbefunk GmbH by Chamier Film KG and was first broadcast between September 1970 and April 1971 in the regional program of the SFB. The episodes ran there, with two exceptions, on Saturdays from 6.30 p.m.

content

Paul and Else Lehmann are the owners of a small grocery store in a West Berlin residential area. Both are characterized by their great willingness to help and also take care of the small and large concerns of their customers and neighbors. Paul is often supported in this by his brother Kurt, who is a district councilor. The Lehmanns have two grown children, Walter and Monika, who are already married and parents themselves. The talkative hairdresser Edeltraut Plischke, who has her salon across the street, is responsible for the inevitable gossip in the district.

Others

The series was shot in the Wilmersdorf district. The location of the Lehmann store was a shop at Ludwigkirchstrasse 11A.

All episodes were characterized by their local color, which was supported by the participation of numerous Berlin actors in episode roles. Egon Vogel appeared in several episodes as a postman, he already played this role in the series Jedermannstrasse 11 , which was broadcast from November 1962 .

Both seasons of the series are available on four DVDs. Some episodes can also be seen on YouTube .
