Inge Herbrecht

Inge Herbrecht (born September 2, 1925 in Karlsruhe , † April 15, 2012 in Berlin ) was a German actress .

Life

Inge Herbrecht trained as an actress at the theater academy in her hometown. She made her stage debut in 1944 at the theater in Bunzlau , later she worked in Tübingen and again in Karlsruhe until she came to Berlin. There Herbrecht played at the Deutsches Theater , the Theater am Schiffbauerdamm and the Berliner Ensemble . As an escape helper in GDR detention for a while, she came to West Berlin in the early 1960s and continued her career there, including in 1994 at the Hansa Theater .

In the 1950s Inge Herbrecht stood in front of the cameras of GDR television on various occasions, in 1954 in two episodes of the short film series Das Stacheltier and later for the crime series Blaulicht . Even after her move to the Federal Republic of Germany, Herbrecht found work in television alongside her work in the theater. Ulrich Schamoni cast her in his feature film Es in 1966 , and she was also seen in a Tatort episode and guest appearances in series such as Motiv Liebe , Liebling Kreuzberg or The Treasure in No Man's Land .

Inge Herbrecht was married to her fellow actor Gerhard Bienert until his death in 1986 .
