Ute Scherb
Ute Scherb (* 1962 or 1963 ) is a German historian . Since August 1, 2007, she has been the director of the Kehl City Archives and the Hanau Museum.
Life
Ute Scherb studied history, art history and political science in Heidelberg and Freiburg im Breisgau . She submitted her dissertation on Freiburg monuments in 2000. In addition, she conducted research on a variety of topics from everyday and regional history in South Baden . In 2002 she worked on an exhibition for the Freiburg city archive to mark the anniversary of the state. She also dealt with the history of the city of Kehl after 1945. A grant from the Kultur-Stiftung in Offenburg in 2005 was linked to the task of dealing with everyday and women's history in Offenburg during the Empire and the Weimar Republic . She came across Marie Geck from Offenburg . She presented the results of her work in lectures, essays and a small exhibition. She then worked as a freelance historian at the General Secretariat of the German Red Cross in Berlin and as a family researcher in Gengenbach . She completed a degree in archivist at the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences .
