Tom Booth-Amos (born March 12, 1996 in Newport , Shropshire ) is a British motorcycle racer .
Career
Booth-Amos started with a wildcard at the 2017 British Grand Prix on a KTM from City Lifting RS Racing in the Moto3 class of the Motorcycle World Championship . He finished 21st.
In 2018 Booth-Amos drove a full season in the FIM CEV Moto3 Junior World Championship for British Talent Team on Honda . It was his first full season in international racing. The season went worse than expected with 13 points and a 22nd place overall, but he still got a contract for a full season with CIP Power Green (as Paydriver ) for 2019 , this time again with KTM. At 23, Booth-Amos was older than most of the other regular riders, many of whom had been with the class for years or even since the beginning.
The season, however, was also bad, with the Briton reaching the points only twice (once among the top 10). He finished the 28th season and one of the worst full-time drivers and rookies . Against team-mate Darryn Binder , the younger brother of Brad Binder , he was defeated by ten to 54 points. As a result, his contract was not extended and he was replaced by Maximilian Kofler for the next season .
Booth-Amos then switched to the Supersport 300 World Championship in 2020 and rides a Kawasaki for RT Motorsports by SKM - Kawasaki alongside Australian Tom Bramich and Ukrainian Nick Kalinin . Right at the start of the season in Jerez , the Brit finished second in Saturday's race behind Unai Orradre and thus on the podium. On Sunday too, Booth-Amos landed third on the podium, leading the world championship after the first race weekend.
