Moto3 class

In 2012 Brad Binder started his first full season in the Motorcycle World Championship. He rode in the RW Racing GP team on a Kalex - KTM in the newly created Moto3 class. This year, fourth place in Valencia was his best result. At the end of the season he finished 21st overall. In the 2013 season, Binder moved to the Ambrogio Racing team . He could this year, in the first eleven races still on a Suter - Honda and the rest of the season then on a Mahindra improve to 13th place overall. In 2014 , Binder stayed with the team. His first place on the podium came in second at the German Grand Prix . Which, until then, was the best result for Mahindra. With another podium position, Binder finished eleventh overall at the end of the season.

2015 he transferred to the team Red Bull KTM Ajo of Aki Ajo . There he rode a KTM. His teammates were the Czech Karel Hanika and the Portuguese Miguel Oliveira . With four podium places, Binder was sixth overall at the end of the season. In 2016 , Binder will again be part of Aki Ajo's team. This year the Dutchman Bo Bendsneyder is his teammate. Binder achieved his first pole position in Argentina . He was finally able to celebrate his first victory two races later in Spain at the Circuito de Jerez , although he had to start from 35th and last place after a penalty transfer. Binder was also victorious in the next two races; four more victories followed in the second half of the season. He finally won the world title four races before the end of the season.

Moto2 class

For the 2017 season, Binder switched to the Moto2 class but remained loyal to KTM and the team. In his first season he made three podiums and finished eighth in the World Championship. The year 2018 was even more successful, he won the races in Germany , Aragon and the Australian Grand Prix . In his second season in the Moto2 class, he finished third behind world champion Francesco Bagnaia and his teammate Miguel Oliveira, which meant that Ajo KTM also won the team title.

In 2019 he even won five races (including Aragon and Australia) and was runner-up in the world championship, just three points behind Álex Márquez .

MotoGP class

In the early summer of 2019 it was announced that Binder will be joining the MotoGP in 2020 . First he was supposed to compete for Tech3 KTM , alongside Oliveira, but after KTM factory rider Johann Zarco announced that he would be leaving KTM due to differences, Binder took over his place again, initially only with a one-year contract. Even before the start of the 2020 season, which was delayed to July 19 due to the COVID-19 pandemic , it was announced that Binder will remain with the team in 2021. His first victory in MotoGP was the Czech Grand Prix .
