history
From 1862 to 1929 the independent municipality of Uttenhofen belonged to the district office of Zusmarshausen and from 1929 to the district office of Augsburg , which from 1939 was called the district of Augsburg . On July 1, 1972, as part of the regional reform in Bavaria, it was added to the Günzkreis, which was renamed the Günzburg district on May 1, 1973 . On May 1, 1978, it was incorporated into the Ziemetshausen market.
Uttenhofen belongs to the Catholic parish Sankt Peter and Paul in Ziemetshausen .
Uttenhofen had its own train station on the Dinkelscherben – Thannhausen railway line, which was closed in 2001 .
