Lauterbach is a church village and part of the market Ziemetshausen in the Swabian district of Günzburg . The parish of Hellersberg also belongs to the district .

From 1804 Lauterbach and its district belonged to the district court of Ursberg , from 1837 to the district court of Krumbach , later to the Krumbach district office. In 1939 the name was changed to the Krumbach district .
From July 1, 1972, Lauterbach belonged to the Günzkreis as part of the regional reform in Bavaria , which was then called the Günzburg district from May 1, 1973 . On January 1, 1974, it was incorporated into the Ziemetshausen market.

Lauterbach and Hellersberg belong to the Catholic parish of St. Georg in Memmenhausen .
