Uwe Jensen (pop singer)
Uwe Jensen (* 5 July 1948 as Uwe Pawelczky in Brätz ) is a German pop singer .
Life
Uwe Jensen spent his childhood in Wansdorf (today Schönwalde / Wansdorf district) on the Havel, near Berlin. He learned the trade of a mechanical engineer and that of a television mechanic . After working in these professions for some time, he attended the Leipzig special school at the Central House for Cultural Work of the GDR for three years . He graduated with a diploma for amateur theater .
Working as a theater director, he financed his classical singing studies. The repertoire included pieces by Brahms and Mozart , among others . Later he switched to rock music and hits . He took part in several hit competitions at home and abroad, such as the Dresden International Schlager Festival , the "Bratislavská Lyra" in Bratislava , the "Golden Orpheus" in Bulgaria and the " World Popular Song Festival " in Tokyo . In 1997 he returned to the music business as a presenter with the show Wiedersehen macht Freude ( MDR ), which he moderated until 2003. He ran three times through the broadcast of Long Saturday (MDR) and thus also recalled 118 episodes of Ein Kessel Buntes , which he moderated alone in 1982 and in 1984 together with Petra Kusch-Lück .
As a versatile entertainer , he gave over 3,000 concerts with singing , dancing , moderation and parody until 2007. In 2012 Uwe Jensen was on the road live with the actor Gojko Mitić and the program Show at the campfire .
In 2013, Uwe Jensen celebrated two anniversaries - his 65th birthday and his 40th stage anniversary. On this occasion two double albums were released.
Uwe Jensen lives in Berlin-Köpenick , is married and has two children.
