Uwe Lagosky (born May 21, 1962 in Braunschweig ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 2013 to 2017 he was a member of the German Bundestag .

education and profession

After completing his training as a power system electronics technician from 1978 to 1982 at the Braunschweig public utility , Lagosky completed his technical training at the Braunschweig technical school . There he obtained the advanced technical college entrance qualification in 1984 . Lagosky has been an employee of what is now Braunschweiger Versorgungs-AG & Co. KG ( BS ENERGY ) since 1985 . From 1986 to 2004 he was a technical employee in the central heating power plant, and from 2004 to 2005 he was regulatory manager. From 2001 to 2013 Lagosky was a member of the works council and from 2002 to 2005 deputy works council chairman of Braunschweiger Versorgungs-AG & Co. KG. In addition, from 2006 to 2013 he was a member of the supervisory board of Braunschweiger Versorgungs-Verwaltungs-AG and second deputy chairman of the supervisory board. From 2005 to 2013 he was chairman of the works council of Braunschweiger -versorgung AG & Co. KG. At VEOLIA Wasser GmbH he was Deputy Chairman of the Working Group of Works Councils from 2006 to 2012. From March 2012 to 2013 he was its chairman. At the energy supplier BS | ENERGY, he became Group Works Council Chairman in 2007. He held this office until his election to the German Bundestag in 2013.

Lagosky is married and has three children.

Party career

Lagosky has been a member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) since 1994. From 1997 to 2002 he was chairman of the CDU local branch in Destedt . From 1997 to 2001 he was deputy and until 2011 chairman of the CDU community association in Cremlingen . Since then, Lagosky has been a co-opted board member. Lagosky has been the deputy chairman of the CDU district association Wolfenbüttel since 2001. Lagosky has been a member of the Christian Democratic Workers' Union (CDA) since 2000. He became its chairman in the Wolfenbüttel district in 2014.

Municipal mandates and functions

Lagosky was a member of the council of his hometown Abbenrode (Cremlingen) from 1991 to 2013. In 2001 he became local mayor and held this office until 2011. From 1993 to 2001 Lagosky was a citizen representative in the council of the unified community of Cremlingen. Since 2001 he has been a councilor in the council of the Cremlingen community, chairman of the CDU parliamentary group and member of the administrative committee. In 2001, Lagosky was elected to the district council of the Wolfenbüttel district, to which he still belongs today. In 2011 and 2012 he was chairman of the committee for the environment, agriculture and climate protection until he became chairman of the CDU district parliamentary group in 2012. Lagosky ran unsuccessfully in the Bundestag election 2013 in the Bundestag constituency of Salzgitter - Wolfenbüttel , however, entered the German Bundestag via the CDU state list of Lower Saxony . There he was a full member of the Committee for Labor and Social Affairs and a deputy member of the Committee for Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety. In addition, he was secretary in the German Bundestag. He was a member of the board of the workers' group of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group as an assessor and of the repository commission of the German Bundestag as a deputy member. As the rapporteur of his group for employee participation, healthy work and occupational safety, Lagosky placed a political focus. In the Bundestag constituency of Salzgitter-Wolfenbüttel, he campaigns specifically for the retrieval of the nuclear waste from the Asse mine , the establishment of an institute for repository research in his constituency of Salzgitter-Wolfenbüttel, and an Asse fund to reduce the regional burden financially. Furthermore, he campaigned for various measures in the area of ​​transport infrastructure, such as the expansion of the Weddel Loop . Since there are energy-intensive industries and numerous small and medium-sized companies in his constituency, he got involved in the energy round of his group. Lagosky has been a member of the committee of inquiry into the VW emissions scandal since it was founded in July 2016 .

In the 2017 federal election , Lagosky ran again unsuccessfully in the Salzgitter - Wolfenbüttel constituency. This time, however, his state list position was not enough for him to enter the German Bundestag.

Voluntary engagement and memberships

Uwe Lagosky has been a member of the ver.di trade union since the beginning of his working life in 1985. Furthermore, from 2004 to 2013 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state tariff committee and until 2010 a member of the federal technical committee / negotiating commission for the collective bargaining agreement for utilities. From 2005 to 2009 he was also an honorary judge at the Braunschweig Administrative Court .
