Uwe Looft

Uwe Hans Looft (born November 7, 1938 in Trittau ; † July 24, 2019 ibid.) Was a German lawyer and politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After graduating from the Stormarn School in Ahrensburg in 1959, Looft studied law in Hamburg , Kiel and Bonn . He passed the first legal state examination in Schleswig in 1963 , completed the legal preparatory service from 1964 to 1968 and also worked as a research assistant from 1966 to 1968. In 1968 he finished his studies with the second state examination in Hamburg. He was subsequently admitted to the bar.

Political party

Looft had joined the Junge Union (JU) in 1958 and was later elected deputy state chairman of the JU Schleswig-Holstein . During his studies he was a member of the Ring of Christian Democratic Students (RCDS) from 1960 to 1963 . He joined the CDU in 1959 and was then deputy chairman of the CDU district association Stormarn . From 1968 to 1971 he was the managing director of the CDU parliamentary group in the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament .

MP

Looft was from 1966 to 1972 district council member of the Stormarn district. He was a member of the German Bundestag as a replacement for the deceased Member of Parliament Will Rasner from October 15, 1971 to 1972. He was drawn into parliament via the Schleswig-Holstein state list.
