Válber da Silva Costa , or Válber for short , (born December 6, 1971 in São Luís , Brazil ) is a former Brazilian soccer player.

Career

The 1.77 meter tall striker began his career in 1992 with the club Mogi Mirim EC , where he was under contract for one season. At the state championship of São Paulo he scored 17 goals in the same year and was the top scorer. From 1995 to 1996 he was under contract with SE Palmeiras and played with well-known players, Rivaldo , Müller and Cafu in the same club. In the years 1994 to 2003 he was under contract with various clubs, in 2004 he signed a contract with the club Mogi Mirim EC, after which year he ended his career.
