history

Vålerenga Fotball Damer was founded in the late 1990s as a women's department at Vålerenga Oslo . 1998 Vålerenga played for the first time for promotion to the top division, but had to stay in the second division for another year after two defeats in the promotion games. 2000 Vålerenga achieved promotion and made his debut in the Cup. After only one year, they were relegated and they also failed in the cup in the first round.

In 2001 they reached seventh place in the second division and made it into the second round of the cup after receiving a bye in the first round. In 2003 Vålerenga almost relegated from the second division, but the club was able to save itself to a safe place in the table shortly before the end of the season. In 2011, the team was promoted to the top series , in which they have played since then.
