Víctor Alfonso Guzmán Guzmán (born February 3, 1995 in Guadalajara , Jalisco ) is a Mexican football player who predominantly acts in midfield .

Life

After he was found to be too small as a child at CF Atlas and was rejected, he went through the junior division of city rival Chivas , where he was only used in the reserve teams .

In order to gain match practice, Guzmán was loaned out to league rivals CF Pachuca before the 2015/16 season. For the Tuzos he was used for the first time in a cup game played on July 28, 2015 against CF Atlante (1: 1). Two weeks later, he made his debut in the Mexican league on August 11, 2015 in the 3: 4 away defeat against the Rayados de Monterrey .

Almost ten months later, on the evening of May 29, 2016, in exactly the same place, he became the hero of his team. In the 65th minute of the second leg for the championship of Clausura 2016 against the Rayados de Monterrey, Guzmán was substituted on when the score was 1-0 for the hosts (Monterrey). The overall result was 1: 1 because Pachuca had decided the first leg in his own place 1: 0 in his favor. As already all players and spectators with an extension had resigned, Guzmán scored in the third minute of injury time to 1 the results: 1, which Pachuca won his sixth championship title.

Even before this most important goal of his short career, Guzmán expressed his desire to stay with Pachuca beyond his original loan period. He was reluctant to return to Chivas, where he had not been given a chance to be deployed.

In 2015, Guzmán completed four missions for the Mexican U-20 national team , for which he also participated in all three games in Mexico at the U-20 World Cup in 2015 , when "El Tri" was eliminated after the preliminary round.

In 2016, Guzmán was part of the squad of the Mexican U-23 team , which represented Mexico at the Olympic football tournament and also had to leave after the preliminary round.
