Völkershausen is a district of the city of Heldburg in the Hildburghausen district in Thuringia .

location

The village of Völkershausen is located in the Heldburger Land north of the city of Bad Colberg-Heldburg on the state road 1134 framed by meadows and forests. From 1888 to 1946 there was a rail connection to Hildburghausen .

history

The village was first mentioned in a document in 1134. The village with 113 inhabitants was once the Vorwerk of the Princely Office Heldburg. Today, well-kept houses determine the townscape.
