V364 Carinae ( HD 92664 ) is a star from open cluster IC 2602 . Because of the similarity of this star cluster to the Pleiades , IC 2602 is sometimes referred to as the "southern Pleiades". The star is located at a distance of about 500 LJ in the constellation Carina and has the special spectral class B8IIIp (Si). Due to its special spectrum, it is counted among the Ap stars . The star is also a variable one and belongs to the Alpha 2 -Canum Venaticorum stars .
