The VGP Group is a developer, builder and owner of logistics real estate and industrial parks based in Antwerp , Belgium . As of January 2020, the company has an area of ​​7.0 million square meters. The company's focus is on the development of business parks. In 2019, VGP achieved a profit of 205.6 million euros.

history

The VGP Group was founded in 1998 by Jan Van Geet as a family company in the Czech Republic and has since expanded its business to Central, Western and Southern Europe.

In 2007 the VGP Group went public. In 2016, the VGP Group and Allianz Real Estate founded the 50:50 joint venture VGP European Logistics, which invests in properties in Germany , the Czech Republic , Hungary and Slovakia and develops them further. In 2019 the joint venture VGP European Logistics 2 was founded with a focus on Austria , Italy , the Netherlands , Portugal , Romania and Spain .

In July 2019, the company announced that it would develop a new business park for the BMW Group and the Krauss-Maffei Group in Parsdorf near Munich . VGP Park Munich will offer around 250,000 square meters of lettable space on a 40 hectare property. The park is scheduled to open in August 2020.
