IC 1784 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sb / P in the constellation Triangle in the northern sky . It is around 220 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 90,000 light years. Together with IC 1785 it forms the gravitationally bound galaxy pair KPG 61 and it is considered a member of the IC 1784 group ( LGG 55 ).

In the same area of ​​the sky is u. a. the galaxy IC 1789 .

The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on January 20, 1898 .
