IC 1793 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sab in the constellation Triangle in the northern sky . It is around 242 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 105,000 light years.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 890 and IC 1789 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on January 20, 1898 .
