The Gmina Ropczyce is an urban and rural municipality in the powiat Ropczycko-Sędziszowski of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship in Poland . The seat of the Powiat and the municipality is the city of the same name with around 15,750 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality is located 110 km east of Kraków and 20 km west of Rzeszów . The Wielopolka River is one of the waters . The municipality has an area of 139 km², 73% of which is used for agriculture and 16% for forestry.
history
From 1975 to 1998 the municipality belonged to the Rzeszów Voivodeship .

Droga krajowa 4 (DK 4) runs through the north of the rural community and is crossed in Ropczyce by the provincial road 986 (DW 986).
Ropczyce is on the Vienna – Lviv railway line. The Rzeszóz airport is 30 km away.
