IC 1806 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E3 in the constellation Aries north of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 460 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 95,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies IC 1802 , IC 1804 , IC 1807 , IC 1809 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on January 16, 1896 .
