IC 1820 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type S in the constellation Cetus south of the ecliptic . It is an estimated 417 million light years from the Milky Way and about 60,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on December 21, 1903 .
