Vaila M. Barsley (born September 15, 1987 in Boston , Lincolnshire ) is a British football player who has been under contract with Eskilstuna United since the 2013 season .
Career
society
Barsley played for the Norwich City women's team and the Arsenal LFC reserves as a youth and young adult . She then moved to the United States to study at St. John's University , where she played for the St. John's Red Storm college team . Barsley then ran for two years for the Long Island Rough Riders' W League franchise . In 2011 she moved to the Icelandic first division club UMF Afturelding for a season before returning to the Rough Riders for the 2012 season. In the second half of the year Barsley ran for reigning Irish champions Peamount United , with whom they took part in the qualifying round for the Champions League . In 2013 she moved to the Swedish second division club Eskilstuna United , with whom she was promoted to Damallsvenskan at the end of the season .
National team
Barsley, whose mother is Scottish, first played for the England U-17 national team. On March 31, 2017, she was called up to the Scottish women's national soccer team for a friendly against the Belgian women's national soccer team, where she made her debut on April 11th.
