Valérie Mairesse (born June 8, 1955 in Paris ) is a French actress .
Life
Mairesse came to Morocco at the age of five and returned to France at the age of 17. After a short training at Cours Simon , she became a stage actress and also appeared in film from 1974.
She gained fame in 1977 as one of the two main actresses in the self-discovery piece One Sings, The Other Doesn't . She then worked in various comedies, crime novels and dramas, including as a disguised policewoman Sylvette in The Umbrella Murderer . In 1978 she was nominated for a César as best supporting actress for her portrayal of Esther in role-playing games . In 1998 she was nominated for the Molière Theater Prize for Best Supporting Actress in La Surprise de l'amour .
