action

Christopher "Berg" Bergham and his wife Bela are known as the "kings of cascadeurs ", and their stunt, in which they fly over several cars in a car, is particularly famous. Before such a stunt, Bela tells her husband that it will be her last stunt if she wants to have a child. Berg agrees. While he is checking the car, Bela receives a surprise visit from her brother Léandro Santini, of whose existence Berg knows nothing. Bela once broke away from Léandro because he had developed an incestuous relationship with her. Even now he urges her to come with him; he wanted to kill every adversary. She necessarily agrees and tells Berg before the jump that she has to disappear for a while. He thinks she is having an affair and, in anger, drives the car too quickly toward the jump ramp. There is an accident and an explosion in which Bela is killed.

Three years later, Berg is an employee of the La veillance security service, monitoring the streets of Paris at night. He is considered calm; Among his colleagues he is said to have had an affair with the homosexual Nino, even if he is more interested in waitress Mimi. When colleague Jeff Garcia presses Mimi, Berg intervenes and hits Jeff. He swears revenge.

Léandro, who has just been released from prison and who soon recognizes his former adversary in Berg, has also started guard duty. Meanwhile, Jeff refused to accept Mimi's rejection. He offers to drive her home after work. He presses her in the car and finally brings her to the bank of the Seine, where he wants to rape her. Mimi shoots him and can flee. Meanwhile, Léandro informs Berg that he has seen Jeff and Mimi together. Berg gets to Jeff just as Mimi was able to break free. He remembers Bela and shoots Jeff in a rage before fleeing. Shortly afterwards, Léandro appears at the injured Jeff and shoots him. He informs his colleagues by radio that Jeff von Berg has been murdered. They swear vengeance and want to lynch mountains.

Berg knows that he is not the killer, but neither can he prove otherwise. He asks Nino to help him, but Nino wants a relationship with Berg in return, which Berg refuses. Shortly thereafter, Nino Berg's colleague reveals where the wanted man is, only to then regretfully warn Berg of his pursuers. Berg, Mimi and Nino flee to a stadium, where Nino is shot by Berg's colleagues and dies in Berg's arms. The next morning Berg's colleagues disappeared. Only Léandro is still waiting for him in the stadium, so Berg sends Mimi away. Léandro shoots Berg in the leg and then reveals to him that he is Bela's brother. He wants Berg to die in flames just like his sister. He begins dousing Berg with gasoline, but accidentally ignites himself and dies in the flames. A little later, Berg and Mimi see each other again and hug each other.

criticism

The film service called the big city hell - hunted and chased a thriller in the style of a big city western that works with glaring effects and gives away the chance to deal with authentic forms of alienation and aggressiveness. "The film gets lost in" fashionable- superficial exaggeration of reality and hollow pathos. "

"Excessive violence and effects without a sensible story," stated Cinema .
