Valdimar Grímsson (born December 5, 1965 in Iceland ) is a former Icelandic handball player .
With the Icelandic national team , the right winger took part in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona and was fourth thanks to his 35 goals. At the men's handball world championship in Japan in 1997 , he was chosen as the third best goalscorer with 52 goals in the All-Star team. At the European Handball Championship in 2000 , he was the second top scorer with 41 goals. In total, he scored 940 goals in 271 international matches.
With Valur Reykjavík he won the Icelandic Championship in 1988, 1989 and 1991 and the Cup in 1988, 1990 and 1993. With KA Akureyri he won the cup in 1995 and the championship in 1997.
