Maupas / Valency is a district of the Swiss city of Lausanne . It is located in the western part of the city.
The district itself is in turn divided into five quarters . These are Maupas, Av. d'Echallens, Montétan, Chablière and Valency. In 2018, around 13,713 inhabitants lived in an area of 0.803 km² .
location
Maupas / Valency is largely built over, and the area is already reminiscent of the neighboring suburbs of Prilly and Renens , which are mainly home to industry and apartment blocks. The district is therefore the largest in Lausanne, also due to the large number of buildings in terms of population.
Public transportation
The bus route 9 from Prilly of the Transports publics de la région Lausannoise crosses the area. The Chemin de fer Lausanne-Echallens-Bercher continues through the district, partly on a road .
Buildings and sights
The Fondation de l'Hermitage is at the eastern end of the district.
