Valentin Plavčić (born May 17, 1972 in Vitez ) is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian football coach and former football player .

Career as a player

In the early 90s, Valentin Plavčić was on the way to what was then the 1st Yugoslav League. He had already signed a contract with NK Travnik , but then the Bosnian War broke out. An appointment to the Yugoslavia Olympic selection for the Olympic Games in Barcelona was therefore no longer applicable. He did not play football during the war, but continued his career in Germany from 1995. He played for KSV Hessen Kassel in the 1994/1995 season in the Regionalliga , and subsequently for SpVg Aurich and VfL Germania Leer in the Oberliga . In 1999 he returned to Bosnia and played again for his hometown club NK Vitez .

Career as a coach

In the 2012/13 season Valentin Plavčić coached the men's team of his home club NK Vitez first in the First League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (2nd division). He won the championship with the club and was promoted to the Premijer Liga , the top division in club football in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In October they separated amicably, but Plavčić remained loyal to his club with other tasks. From August 2014 he coordinated the NK Vitez football school, which he helped to set up.

Since September 2014, Plavčić has had the “UEFA Pro license”, which corresponds to the DFB football instructor license .

From October 2014 Plavčić was the coach of FK Rudar Kakanj in the 2nd division of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In March 2015, he made his position as a coach available because the set goal of promotion to the Premijer Liga was no longer achievable.

From April 2015 to August 2015 he was again the coach of NK Vitez, whom he initially saved from relegation, but had to leave after a bad start to the season.

For the 2016/2017 season, Plavčić moved to TUSPO Grebenstein in group league 2 Kassel (7th league).

On June 9, 2018, Plavčić and TUSPO Grebenstein were promoted to the Football Association League Hessen Staffel Nord after a 2-0 win in the promotion round at FSV Thalau .

For the 2019/2020 season, Valentin Plavčić changes to SV Neuhof, who have been promoted to Hessenliag .

Bosnia and Herzegovina women's national team

On December 27, 2014, Plavčić was nominated by the Bosnian-Herzegovinian Football Association ( Nogometni / Fudbalski Savez Bosne i Hercegovine ) as assistant coach of the women's national team.
