Antonio Sahagún López

Antonio Sahagún López (born February 17, 1917 in Teocuitatlán de Corona , Jalisco , Mexico ; † October 31, 2005 in Guadalajara ) was auxiliary bishop in Guadalajara .

Life

Antonio López Sahagún received on 24 April 1943, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On July 18, 1966, Pope Paul VI appointed him . to the Bishop of Linares . The Archbishop of Guadalajara, José Cardinal Garibi y Rivera , donated him episcopal ordination on September 21 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the coadjutor archbishop of Guadalajara, Francisco Javier Nuño y Guerrero , and the coadjutor bishop of Zamora , José Salazar López .

Antonio Sahagún López resigned as Bishop of Linares on October 31, 1973. On the same day Paul VI appointed him. the titular bishop of Chemtou and ordered him auxiliary bishop in Guadalajara.

On April 15, 1992 Pope John Paul II accepted Antonio Sahagún López's resignation because of his age.
