Rafael Gallardo García
Rafael Gallardo García OSA (born October 28, 1927 in Yuriria ) is former bishop of Tampico .
Life
Rafael Gallardo García joined the congregation of the Augustinians at and received on 8 April 1950, the priestly ordination .
Pope Paul VI appointed him on July 11, 1974 Bishop of Linares . The Archbishop of Monterrey Alfonso Espino y Silva donated him episcopal ordination on September 24th of the same year ; Co-consecrators were José de Jesús Tirado Pedraza , auxiliary bishop in Monterrey, and Antonio Sahagún López , auxiliary bishop in Guadalajara .
On May 21, 1987, he was named Bishop of Tampico . On December 27, 2003, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
