José de Jesús Tirado Pedraza (born March 31, 1908 in Santa Ana Maya , Michoacán , Mexico , † July 8, 1993 ) was Archbishop of Monterrey .

Life

José de Jesús Tirado Pedraza received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Morelia on May 10, 1931 .

On May 21, 1963, Pope John XXIII appointed him . the titular bishop of Thélepte and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Morelia. The Archbishop of Morelia, Luis María Altamirano y Bulnes , ordained him episcopal on July 25 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Yucatán , Ferdinando Ruiz y Solózarno , and the auxiliary bishop of Morelia, Salvador Martínez Silva . On April 1, 1965, Pope Paul VI appointed him . to the Bishop of Ciudad Victoria . José de Jesús Tirado Pedraza was named titular bishop of Mevania on January 25, 1973 and appointed auxiliary bishop in Monterrey. Paul VI appointed him on December 7, 1976. to the Archbishop of Monterrey.

On November 8, 1983, Pope John Paul II accepted José de Jesús Tirado Pedraza’s resignation due to reasons of age.

José de Jesús Tirado Pedraza attended the second, third and fourth sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
