Valeriu Streleț (born March 8, 1970 in Țareuca ) is a Moldovan politician and has been confirmed as Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova by President Nicolae Timofti since July 2015 . He has been a member of the PLDM since 2009 and has headed its parliamentary group since 2011.

On October 29, 2015, Parliament expressed its mistrust of the Streleț cabinet by a large majority.

Private life

Streleț studied history, economics and political science. He is married and has four children.
