Vasile Bărbulescu

Vasile Bărbulescu (born September 14, 1926 in Scorniceşti , Olt district ; † 1991 ibid) was a Romanian politician of the Romanian Communist Party PMR (Partidul Muncitoresc Român) and from 1965 PCR (Partidul Comunist Român) , who was a member between 1986 and 1989 of the Secretariat of the Central Committee (ZK) of the PCR.

Life

Bărbulescu completed vocational training after attending school and then worked as an agricultural mechanic and between 1942 and 1949 as a worker in the mill in his hometown. In 1949 he got involved first as an activist of the Union of Young Workers UTM (Uniunea Tineretului Muncitor) in Potcoava and then in 1950 as an activist of the UTM in the Slatina area and in the Argeș district .

Bărbulescu, who became a member of Partidul Muncitoresc Român (PMR) in 1954, was a worker in the agricultural production cooperative CAP (Cooperativă Agricolă de Producție) in Scorniceşti from 1954 to 1956 and then from 1956 to 1960 President of the Executive Committee of the Scorniceş Municipal People's Council and from 1960 until 1975 president of the CAP of Scorniceşti. In 1969 he became a member of the Grand National Assembly (Marea Adunare Națională) for the first time , where he initially represented the constituency of Scorniceşti No. 2 until 1975 . At the Eleventh Party Congress of the PCR from November 24 to 27, 1974 , Bărbulescu was elected as a candidate for the Central Committee of the PCR and was a member of this until November 23, 1979.

Bărbulescu was elected at the Twelfth Party Congress of the PCR from 19 to 23 November 1979 as a member of the Central Committee of the PCR, to which he belonged until December 22, 1989. In addition, he studied at the Faculty of Economics of the Academy of Social and Political Sciences " Ștefan Gheorghiu " and in 1980 became President of the Joint Council of the State Agricultural Industry and Cooperatives CUASC (Consiliul Unic Agroindustrial de Stat și Cooperatist) .

He was also from May 21 to November 1982 both a member of the Supreme Council for Economic and Social Development and deputy head of the Central Committee department for party work in agriculture. Thereupon he was first secretary of the party committee in the district of Olt and president of the executive committee of the people's council in the district of Olt from November 1982 to 1986. He was also a member of the Forestry Council between March 2, 1983 and October 29, 1987. In October 1986 Bărbulescu became a member of the Central Committee Secretariat and was a member of this until the Romanian Revolution on December 22, 1989 .

In 1980 he again became a member of the Grand National Assembly and again represented Scorniceşti No. 2 until 1985 and then until 1989 the constituency of Drăgăneşti-Olt No. 4 . During his membership in parliament he was from March 29, 1989 and March 29, 1989 member of the Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management.

For his many years of service, Bărbulescu has received several awards, including the title Hero of Socialist Labor (Erou al Muncii Socialiste) in 1972 and the Order of August 23, First Class (Ordinul August 23) in 1984 .
