Vasile Nistor (* 9. June 1967 ) is a former Romanian boxer in the lightweight .

successes

Nistor was multiple Romanian master and Balkan master. He won the gold medal at the European Championships in Gothenburg in 1991 , defeating Thomas Damgaard (TKo), Sandro Casamonica (TKo), Marco Rudolph (TKo) and Ajrat Chamatow (24: 2). At the 1991 World Championships in Sydney , he won a bronze medal after he made it to the semi-finals against Carlos Castro (TKo) and Namdschilyn Bajarsaichan (34: 8) and was only eliminated there against Marco Rudolph (4:18).

At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona he lost again to Marco Rudolph (5:10). He won another bronze medal at the 1993 World Championships in Tampere . After victories against János Petrovics (TKo), Gennadi Staruschenko (14: 1) and Hocine Soltani (knockout), he lost to Larry Nicholson (2:14) in the semi-finals .
