Veitsch ( also Dorf-Veitsch ) is a locality and, as Veitsch Dorf, a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Sankt Barbara in the Mürz Valley in the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district in Styria .
The village is located in the Veitsch, a side valley of the Mürz . Here the Große Veitsch and the Kleine Veitsch unite to form the Veitsch, which is also called Lambach .
Settlement development
At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there was a total of 118 building areas with 35,254 m² and 56 gardens on 27,043 m² in the cadastral community of Veitsch Dorf , in 1989/1990 there were 109 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 314 and in 2009/2010 there were 153 buildings on 341 building areas.
Land use
The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture and forestry. 18 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 27 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 8 hectares and 30 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 7 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 30 hectares. The average soil climate number of Veitsch Dorf is 23.2 (as of 2010).
