Velia Eguiluz Soto (born April 1, 1965 in Guadalajara ) is a Mexican beach volleyball player .

Career

Eguiluz Soto played her first international tournaments on the World Tour in 1993 and 1994 with Laura Almaral Palafox . After a 13th place in Santos and an 11th place in Miami , she reached the top ten for the first time in ninth place in La Serena . In 1995 she formed a new duo with Mayra Huerta . In their first year together, 13th places in Clearwater , Espinho and Bali were the best results for Soto / Huerta. In 1996 they achieved the same result in Hermosa Beach . They then took part in the Olympic Games in Atlanta . There they lost to the French Prawerman / Lesage and the Indonesian duo Timy / Eta and therefore had to say goodbye after the preliminary round.
