The Vendage is a river in France that runs in the Haute-Loire department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It rises in the western municipality of Saint-Just-près-Brioude , generally drains in a north-easterly direction and flows into the Allier as a left tributary after around 20 kilometers at the municipal boundary of Auzon and Vergongheon . The estuary is on the edge of the Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park , in a wetland on the Allier River, where the water disappears in parts into the swampy subsoil.
