The magazine reports on trade union, social, political and economic developments, collective bargaining and labor disputes . It reports on events in companies and portrays members of the union, their work and union or company involvement as works councils in the “Heroes of Work” section . Readers are invited to submit their own suggestions for portraits. The majority of the reports are provided with addresses of websites on which further information can be found.

The page From the districts is intended for reports from the third ver.di level. In addition to national topics, reports are given on European and international trade union life and the work of European works councils . The May 2009 issue featured the Swedish trade unionist Wanja Lundby-Wedin , who has been President of the European Trade Union Confederation since 2007 and made headlines in Sweden in connection with her supervisory board mandate in a pension fund.

A wide variety of topics are addressed on the Society page . For example, in 2009 there was a report on the Chaos Computer Club , supplemented by information on safe use of the Internet.

In addition to topics from trade union and working life, leisure activities are reported, and health topics are also addressed.

Integral parts of the newspaper are the letters and the comments that are written by editorial staff members and guest commentators.
