Vera Katharina Böhnisch , married Doppler (born July 21, 1986 in Vöcklabruck ) is an Austrian Nu-Soul and R&B singer. Since the end of 2006 she has also performed under the stage name L'Enfant Terrible .
Career
In 1999, when she was 13, she took part in the Kiddy Contest . She became known through the casting show Starmania . At 16, she was the youngest participant in the first season. Despite her early departure, she received a recording deal. Alongside Christina Stürmer , she is the only participant in the first season of Starmania who was able to keep her record deals.
In 2003, a few months after Starmania, their debut album Get Ur Funk Done was released , which sold well in Austria. The album also featured an English version ( debut ) of their first single, Anders .
In 2003 she appeared in the episode Tödliches Dreieck as young Sandra in the TV series SOKO Kitzbühel .
A year later she released her second album Welcome to my Record Bag . It has covers of famous songs from the 70s and 80s.
From 2006 onwards she worked on the production technology - according to her own statements. She also contributed tracks on the long players of several musicians.
In 2008 she released her single Dear Ladies as a harbinger of the album Introducing L'Enfant Terrible, which will be released the following late summer . The album was created in collaboration with producers TwinTowas, David Lackner (Davoodi) as well as DJ Buzz and Bionickid from the hip-hop crew Waxolutionists .
In 2009 she sang the vocal parts of the jingles of the Austrian radio station KroneHit together with Monika Ballwein .
The single Take Me High , released in 2009, became the title track of Austria's Next Top Model , but did not make it into the charts. In the same year she won the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the “Song” category with Dear Ladies .
