The Association of Business Associations in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein e. V. (UVNord) is the economic and socio-political umbrella organization of the north German economy. The organization represents the interests of the economy in Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg across all sectors towards politics and society and, as a social partner, represents the employers' side in negotiations with top trade union organizations.

The organization is a member of the Confederation of German Employers' Associations (BDA) and the Schleswig-Holstein State Representation of the Federation of German Industries (BDI).

In the UVNord there are 99 business and employer associations in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein . In addition to interdisciplinary regional associations, the association includes associations from the economic sectors of industry , trade , banking , services and crafts . This represents the interests of around 55,000 companies with 1.63 million employees.

The association is based in Hamburg , with offices in Hamburg and Rendsburg in Schleswig-Holstein .

The association was created on January 1st, 2000 from the merger of the business associations in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein.

The current president is the publisher Uli Wachholtz from Neumünster . Founding president was the entrepreneur Hans Heinrich Driftmann from Elmshorn , who held the office until 2009.
